The Fierce Wakanda Female Warriors

Over the years, several Hollywood Movies with African themes have been released. A common floor of these old movies is a direct and indirect reference to Africa as a backward continent predominantly dominated by wild animals, thick forests, dangerous swamps and killer tribes. The first indication that things were about to change came up with the first appearance of the Black Panther in Captain America’s 2016 Edition sub-titled Civil War.

THE STORYLINE

After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king — and as Black Panther — gets tested when he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.

The Movie Black Panther differs from other attempts at promoting African cultures in the sense that the script was carefully crafted to reflect close to real African languages, outfits and traditional rituals. At some points in the movie, it becomes difficult to come to terms with the fact that this is a purely Hollywood production. Black Panther script also hints at the fact that Africa is blessed with rich natural resources which can be harnessed to a level were we can one day offer assistance to foreign nations.

All over Africa, people of all ages daily troupe to the nearest Cinema to watch this much talked about block buster that made over 500 million dollars in its first 2 to 3 week debut.
